Geomagnetic Model Web Service: Available Models

The World Magnetic Model (WMM) revisions 2020 to 2025 are available through this
web service. To use this model, set the 'model' parameter to 'WMM'
and the 'revision' parameter to a value between '2020' and '2025 (revisions are
only produced every 5 years). Valid dates for this model are from the start
of the year of the revision to 10 years after this, though reduced accuracy
should be expected 5 years after the model revision date.

The High Resolution World Magnetic Model (WMMHR) revision 2025 is available through this
web service. To use this model, set the 'model' parameter to 'WMMHR'
and the 'revision' parameter to '2025'. Valid dates for this model are from 2025 to 2035,
though reduced accuracy should be expected for dates beyond 2030

The International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF) revisions 13 to 14 are
available through this web service. To use this model, set the 'model'
parameter to 'IGRF' and the 'revision' parameter to a value between '13' and '14'.

The BGS Global Geomagnetic Model (BGGM) revisions 1994 to 2024 are available through this
web service. To use this model, set the 'model' parameter to 'BGGM'
and the 'revision' parameter to a value between '1994' and '2024'.


The BGS Global Geomagnetic Model (BGGM) error model revisions 2019 to 2024 are available through
this web service. To use this model, set the 'model' parameter to 'BGGMERR'
and the 'revision' parameter to a value between '2019' and '2024'.


For any model the 'revision' can be set to 'current' to use the most recent revision.
